Description

Bird’s Nest Cupcakes are whimsical, delicious treats perfect for spring celebrations. With a fluffy vanilla base and charming chocolate nests topped with candy eggs, they are sure to impress!


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder (optional for chocolate nests)
  • Candy eggs for decoration
  • Chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder if using.
  3. Cream softened butter with sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined; avoid over-mixing.
  6. Spoon batter into cupcake liners, filling them two-thirds full. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting and decorating.
