Ingredients
For the Base Layer:
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour

For the Cinnamon Filling:
- ½ cup unsalted butter, very soft
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1-2 tablespoons milk or cream, if needed for consistency
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture without overmixing.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared dish, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, then top with remaining batter and swirl gently.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- For icing, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm bars.
