- 6 medium Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions
- 1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- 2. Form into two disks, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least one hour.
- 3. Toss sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg while dough chills.
- 4. Roll out one disk to fit your pie dish. Fill with apple mixture.
- 5. Roll out the second disk to cover the pie; vent or create a lattice design as desired.
- 6. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake for 15 minutes; reduce to 350°F (175°C) for an additional 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
- 7. Allow cooling slightly before serving.
