Instructions

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and optional sprinkles.
  6. Scoop dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden while centers remain soft.
