Ingredients

  • Granulated Sugar
  • Light Corn Syrup
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Raw or Roasted Peanuts
  • Baking Soda
  • Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Stir until bubbly and golden.
  3. Once the mixture reaches 300°F (150°C), stir in the peanuts until well coated.
  4. Remove from heat and quickly mix in baking soda and vanilla extract. The mixture will foam up.
  5. Immediately pour onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  6. Allow to cool completely at room temperature (about 1 hour), then break into pieces.
