Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Add yogurt, sugar, oil, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
