Description

Lemon pepper shrimp and broccoli pasta is a delightful, quick dish that combines succulent shrimp and vibrant broccoli in a zesty lemon sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the pasta: Boil salted water and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes).
  2. 2. Sauté the broccoli: In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add broccoli florets and sauté until bright green and tender-crisp (3-4 minutes).
  3. 3. Add garlic and shrimp: Stir in minced garlic, then add shrimp. Cook until pink and opaque (3-4 minutes).
  4. 4. Mix in flavorings: Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the skillet; add zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. 5. Combine with pasta: Drain cooked pasta and toss it with the shrimp mixture. If needed, add reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
  6. 6. Serve hot: Plate your dish and garnish with additional lemon zest if desired.
